Leigh Miners start their defence of the Conference Challenge Trophy on Saturday when they take on local rivals Ince Rose Bridge in Round One, Kick off 2-30pm at Twist Lane.
All the lads know they will need a massive improvement in their performances in everything they do on Saturday if they want to have any chance of successfully defending their trophy this year, anything similar to last week’s poor performance against West Hull could well see an early exit with the teabag staying in the cup longer!
Andrew Groves Kev Howells and Dave Rowlands all come back into contention for a place in the seventeen after missing last week.
Ince Rose Bridge will be coming to Twist Lane full of confidence having beaten Hull Dockers and Egremont Rangers at home in the last two weeks to leave them eighth in the table winning four of their seven matches.

The U18s are at home to Hindley on Sunday in Round Three of group matches of the NWC Cup, Kick off 1pm at Twist Lane.
Leigh Miners Ladies are away to local rivals Leigh East on Sunday in the league, Kick off 2pm at Ledgard Avenue.
