Its Friday night footy this weekend at Twist Lane when Leigh Miners take on Ince Rose Bridge in round two of the NCL in what is their first home game of the season, Kick off 7-30pm. After last weekend’s disappointing defeat against the Royal Navy in the Challenge Cup it is a massive game for Miners who are still looking for their first win of 2012 and there will be no better way of registering that first win than winning against Rose Bridge in a local derby. Ince opened their season by hammering Saddleworth Rangers at home 52-16 and currently sit at the top of the table from the opening round of fixtures, last week they to also took an early exit out of the Challenge Cup going down 32-22 away at Egremont Rangers.

The second team are away on Saturday against St Helens outfit Portico Vine in a War of the Roses group game, Kick off 2-30pm.

On Sunday Leigh Miners ladies are at home to West Craven Warriors, Kick off 2pm at Twist Lane.
