LEIGH EAST (AWAY)
Leigh Miners make the short trip across the canal on Saturday afternoon when they take on arch rivals Leigh East at LSV, Kick Off 2-30pm. In what will be the first of two derby’s between the two sides in the space of a month both teams will be looking to get the town bragging rights before they meet again at the start of October at Twist Lane. Miners go into the game on the back of two successive defeats and know they will have to be alot smarter this week if they are to come away with the two points after being well beaten 26-0 last weekend against Wigan St Pats. Leigh East also go into the game on the back of a defeat after going down 26-6 away at Wath Brow last weekend.
