MINERS AT HOME TO MARLINS IN SEMI FINAL
The draw for the semi-final of the Conference Challenge Trophy has been made with Miners being handed a home draw against Milford Marlins, the tie to be played on Saturday 10th August at Twist Lane. It will be the second time this year Milford will have travelled to Twist Lane having already made the trip back in March in the second round of the Tetley’s Challenge Cup where Miners won 16-6 in which was a tough encounter on a wet afternoon in Leigh. It will sure to be another tough match when the sides meet again next month and with the final this year being played at Leigh Sports Village there can be no bigger incentive for Miners to make the final again and keep their dream alive of winning the trophy back to back.
The other semi-final is a mouth-watering all Premier Division tie with Wath Brow Hornets being drawn at home to Wigan St Pats.
