Season Launch Invite…
Dear Past Players’ Member Thankyou again for joining the LMR Past Players’ Association and welcome to the first of our newsletters keeping you in touch with events at the club. Since launching earlier this year we have been delighted with the uptake from past players, coaches and volunteers with over 50 members already joined.
We would encourage you all to spread the word and tell former team-mates about the association. If you wish to receive a copy of our 50th anniversary book please let us know and we can arrange delivery. We would like to invite all Past Players members to our season launch event on Saturday 2nd March (7.30pm) at Twist Lane. This follows our first team league opener against Lock Lane (2.30pm KO) and includes hot snacks, live music and a presentation ahead of the new season. We hope to have your membership card available for collection on the night, although we can also post or deliver these if you are unable to attend.
We will also be launching another element of our Past Players’ Association which will be announced on the night. A further date for your diary is our Heritage Day on 17th August which is our designated Past Players’ day for 2019, this year celebrating the 20th anniversary of our Challenge Cup win over Bramley.

A first date for your diary is Saturday 17th August when we celebrate our Heritage Day with a look back at the 20th anniversary of our Challenge Cup victory over Bramley and our 53rd anniversary as a club. As a Past Player member you are invited to attend our pre-match and post-match celebrations and our NCL first team fixture against champions Hunslet Club Parkside.
