HULL DOCKERS (AWAY)
Leigh Miners make the first of five league trips to Humberside on Saturday when they travel to Hull Dockers for the opening round of the new NCL summer season, Kick off 2-30pm. After a good pre-season under new coaches Allan Coleman & Paul Whitworth were the team have been working on fitness and a new structure of play the lads are eager to take to the field on Saturday to kick start the new season. Leigh Centurions star Martyn Ridyard is also on board to assist Allan & Paul, along with Phil Marsden from Warrior Strength Training & Professional cricketer Steven Mullaney who have put the team through some tough conditioning sessions. The lads are looking to make it a winning start to the new season after a couple of month’s hard graft with victory over Dockers at the weekend.
