Leigh Miners return to action on Saturday when they take on Hull Dockers in Round 19 of the NCL Kingstone Press Cider Premier Division, Kick off 2-30pm at Twist Lane.

Miners will be looking to return to winning ways this weekend after their five game winning run was brought to a end with a poor performance against Wigan St Pats three weeks ago. With there being no fixtures following that game for a few weeks, the players where given a full two weeks off to rest up and recover from any injuries or knocks they had picked up.

This week training resumed ahead of a big four games in September for the club, with them needing to pick up as many wins as possible if they want to get a top two finish ahead of the playoffs. Hull Dockers being the first of them four big games with Miners knowing they are going to have to put in a strong performance to get the win against a side who are fighting to remain in the top flight.

With Coach Allan Coleman away on tour with the England Young Lions in Canada, assistant Stuart Pugsley takes over the reigns this weekend. Pugsley making five changes from the side that lost to St Pats with Mitchell Cox (work), Lee Gittins (injured), Ellis Grimes, Ian Mort who are both away on holiday and Connor Ratcliffe (work) dropping out of the side, coming into the side are Chris Bower, Lewis Grimes(u18s), Andrew Groves, Elliot Liku and Jake Lloyd

Hull Dockers travel to Leigh knowing only a win will do if they want to keep their chances alive of playing premier division rugby next season, Dockers currently sit at the bottom of the table with three wins to their name and they will have to win their last four games and hope other results go for them along the way if they are to stay up.
