Leigh Miners make the trip to Halifax on Saturday to take on Siddal in Round 9 of the NCL, Kick off 2-30pm at Chevinedge.
Miners travel over the pennines boosted by a comfortable 48-16 victory against a weakened Ince Rose Bridge in the Conference Challenge Trophy, with all the lads determined to win the trophy back to back they know for the time being that will have to be put aside as they look to pick up some positive results in the bread and butter of the league to move themselves away from the bottom three. Attacking wise Miners where more creative last weekend and hopefully with ball in hand over the coming weeks they will continue to get better with the help of former Leigh Centurions star John Duffy who has been down working with the lads at training.

Coaches Allan Coleman and Paul Whitworth will have to make at least two changes to the side that won in the cup last week with prop Darryl Kay missing the game due to family commitments along with utility player Jimmy Muir who is ruled out for the next few weeks with a shoulder injury. Joe Harrison returns to the side along with one or two others who maybe added to the seventeen before Saturday.

Siddal go into the game on the back of a heavy 42-14 Conference Challenge Trophy defeat away at Cumbrian side Kells last weekend, they will surely be looking to bounce straight back and gain revenge over Miners after being beaten by a late Liam Coleman drop goal at Twist Lane on the opening day of the season.
