Leigh Miners make the short journey down the M62 tomorrow afternoon to St Helens where they take on last year’s champions Thatto Heath Crusaders in round 7 of the NCL summer season, kick off 2-30pm at Close Street. Miners go into the game on the back of last weekend’s big home win against Skirlaugh and they are eagar to pick up their first victory away from Twist Lane tomorrow against a good Thatto outfit. The team will have only one change from last week which will surely please coaches Allan Coleman & Paul Whitworth in their aim of keeping a settled and consistent side week in week out, Gary Gittins missing out with a broken thumb. Thatto have won 3 from 5 along with a host of other clubs including Miners and are currently fifth in the table while Miners are second due to their point’s difference.

The second team start their league campaign in the North West Division Two summer league with a home fixture against Halton Farnworth Hornets tomorrow afternoon, Kick off 2-30pm at Twist Lane.

Leigh Miners Ladies travel to Chorley Panthers on Sunday for the second week running, this week being a league fixture, kick off 2pm

The u18s have a free weekend.
