Council Honour Historic Season
Miners Rangers’ glorious 2015 season was honoured by local Council representatives in a reception this week as the Mayor of Wigan, Lord Smith of Leigh and local councillors treated the club’s open age men’s and women’s teams to a civic reception. With the silverware reunited after some significant mileage over the last few months, Lord Smith, who is also vice-president of the club, congratulated the teams on their achievements in securing the Conference Trophy, League Leaders’ award, Grand Final Championship and Women’s RL Plate.
Joint head coach Allan Coleman reciprocated by thanking Wigan Council for putting on the reception, and praised the teams for their efforts over the season.
The club’s end of season presentation takes place on Saturday 12th December.
