Leigh Miners make the trip to Castleford on Saturday to take on Lock Lane in Round 3 of the Kingstone Press Cider Premier Division, Kick off 2-30pm at Lock Lane Sports Centre.
Miners travel to Yorkshire on the back of picking up their first league win of the season last weekend against Siddal, coming from seven points behind in the final quarter after a scrappy performance in the opening hour to finish strong and win 24-17. Although the commitment and effort is their every week in both attack and defence the lads know they need to start taking more care and have better respect for the football with them turning the ball over way to cheaply in the first hour against Siddal, especially this week against a good side like Lock Lane who beat Miners comfortably at home and away last year.

Coaches Allan Coleman and Paul Whitworth make two changes from last weekend with Matty Campbell and Steve Ormesher coming in for the injured Jake Waterworth and Danny Jackson who is away on a stag doo.

Lock Lane go into Saturdays fixture full of confidence after beating East Hull 62-16 at home last weekend, centre Nicky Saxton scoring an hat-trick in the eleven try rout. The Castleford outfit will be looking for an even better season in 2014 having been excellent last year in their return to the top flight, finishing joint top with Thatto Heath Crusaders and Wath Brow Hornets only missing out on first place by points difference and having recently been boosted with the re signing of Danny Rowse who has returned to the club after a very short spell with Hunslet Warriors, they will be confident of being up there again this year.
