A current Leigh Miners Rangers player will lift the Trophy at the Engage Super League Grand Final staged at Old Trafford on October 8th.

Corporal Garry Dunn has been chosen to march the Trophy onto the Old Trafford pitch in recognition of his long service to the Armed Forces and RAF Rugby League. Garry who has played at Leigh Miners Rangers since the age of 6 regularly travels from his Northampton base to play for the open age sides.

A member of RAF Rugby League National squad, he was selected to represent the Great Britain Armed Forces in the Forces World Cup beating Australia in the final at the famous Sydney Footbal Stadium.

Garry said “It’s fantastic to be recognised in your sport and I’m really looking forward to enjoying the whole occasion”.

The club would also like to congratulate Garry on his achievements and hope he has a memorable day.
