MINERS NAMED CLUB OF THE MONTH
Leigh Miners have been named the NCL Premier Divison club of the month for July, Miners won three of their four matches in July and along with the three they won in June they enjoyed a six match winning run to move them into the mix for a top six spot and into the semi-final of the Conference Challenge Trophy. Martin Gray and Adam Thomason have also been named in the Premier Division team of the month, Gray makes his first appearance in the side and it’s fully deserved having been in excellent form over the last month scoring four tries along with picking up the Man of the Match award at West Hull. Adam Thomason makes the team for the third month running having continued his good run of form scoring three tries to take him to ten for the season as well as causing all sorts of problems for opposition defences.
