Leigh Miners take on playoff rivals Thatto Heath Crusaders on Saturday in Round 20 of the NCL, Kick off 2-30pm at Twist Lane. It’s a big game for Miners as they are looking for another win to keep them in the top six and push them closer towards top spot as the regular season rounds go into the final third of competition, with last year’s NCL champions Thatto Heath also needing a win to keep their own top six ambitions alive, Saturday’s game as the making of a cracker.

Coaches Allan Coleman & Paul Whitworth will again have a good selection headache with all of last week’s seventeen being fully fit and looking to keep their shirts along with Ross Bradley, Jonny Carroll, Craig Connor, Gary Gittins, Shaun Marsh, Adam Thomason and John Woods who are all available for selection.

The u13s will play Thatto Heath Crusaders in the Fred Hilton Cup as a curtain raiser to the first team game on Saturday, Kick off 1pm.

The second team entertain Ince Rose Bridge on Friday night looking to build on last week’s win against second place Bold Miners, Kick off 7-30pm at Twist Lane.

On Sunday the club will be hosting a fundraising Fun day for young Kelsie Ashcroft, starting at 11am at Twist Lane with the tag rugby competition starting at 12pm.
