Leigh Miners make their second of five visits to Humberside this year on Saturday when they take on Skirlaugh in Round 19 of the NCL, Kick off 2pm at Eastside Community Sports Club. Miners go into the game full of confidence after two good home wins against Wath Brow in the cup and Leigh East in the league but know they can expect a tough encounter at the weekend with Skirlaugh scrapping for every point they can to try and avoid relegation. With only three points separating top and seventh spot a victory would keep Miners hot on the heels of the top six and depending on other results over the weekend they could find themselves back into a playoff spot come Saturday evening.

Adam Thomason misses his first game of the year being away on holiday along with Scott O’Brien who is unavailable for the next three league games being away on holiday, Young Josh Ward will partner Liam Coleman in the halfs. Shaun Marsh should be the only other absentee from last week with Steven Tooze and Tom Farrimond coming back into the side.

The second team will be looking to bounce back from last weekends heavy defeat away at leaders Halton Farnworth Hornets when they entertain Bold Miners at Twist Lane, Kick Off 2-30pm.

The Ladies and u18s have a free weekend.
