A message from our U7s Golds Coach – Steph Kelly
“As I am ironing the shirts for tomorrow’s game I’ve just remembered a conversation I had with my little boy in April… Finn: Mummy. You’re right! I should play rugby Me: Yeah. It’s the best sport, and your mate Ethan already plays. Let’s go tonight as you’re 6. …a month later at a meeting they asked for volunteers. I stupidly put my hand up as no one else did. I didn’t expect that 5 days after that I’d find myself on my Level 1 course. However, months later I find myself coaching the most awesome set of Under 7s Golds boys. I love spending the little time I have to myself with these attentive, dedicated and lovely lads. It’s our last game tomorrow and I implore any fans of getting little uns into rugby to come and cheer us on at Leigh Miners Juniors (across from Bedford High School)! We may be the smallest and youngest set of lads in the Under 7s teams, but what we lack in size we make up in spirit and team spirit!”
Awesome Steph we’re so glad you did put up your hand, your doing a fantastic job!
