Leigh Miners will try again on Saturday when they travel to table topping West Hull in a rearranged NCL Round 22 fixture, after the original game scheduled two weeks ago was postponed when Miners coach broke down on the M62 near Leeds, Kick off 2-30 at West Hull Community Park. Both teams are in very good form at the moment with West Hull winning eight of their last nine league matches to move them one point clear at the top of the table and Miners winning nine of their last ten league & cup matches, a run that as seen Miners reach their first final in four years and see them sitting in seventh place in the league with a game in hand of the teams around them and two games in hand of West Hull & Siddal.

It’s a massive game for both clubs with the home side looking to consolidate their position at the top of the table and gain revenge after being beaten 38-0 by their visitors at Twist Lane back in May and for Miners who are looking to keep their playoff push going with another victory and become the first Miners team for many a year to complete a league double over West Hull having only won at Wests once in the last twenty years.

Martin Lewis returns to the squad after missing the Oulton game threw injury to send Miners to Humberside with virtually a full strength squad with only John Woods missing out much to the delight of coaches Allan Coleman & Paul Whitworth as all the lads will be looking for a strong performance before the coaches name their cup final seventeen for next weekend.

The second team will be looking to continue their own good run of form when they entertain Oldham St Annes in the League, Kick off 2-30pm at Twist Lane.
