Leigh Miners will be looking to progress into the last sixteen of the Conference Challenge Cup on Saturday when they travel across the borough to take on local rivals Wigan St Judes in the last thirty two of the competition (Round 1), Kick off 2-30pm at Parsons Meadow. Miners will again start favourites with them being in the higher division but will be wary of the Wigan outfit looking to cause a Premier Division scalp. Sean Pendlebury will be looking to get on the score sheet again this week to keep him at the top of the NCL try scorers list, Pendlebury currently has 15 tries this season and after linking up very well with Jonny Youds last week he will be confident of getting over the line again this week and hopefully help Miners into the next round. St Judes are currently seventh in Division One winning four of their seven matches.

The second team will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season on Saturday when they take on Chorley Panthers in the League (NWMD2), Kick off at the earlier time of 11-30am at Twist Lane.
