The Wigan & Leigh Rugby League World Cup group have launched their search for a local fan to represent the town on the national Fans Local Advisory Group, and Miners fans are urged to apply for the role.

The Rugby League World Cup 2013 (RLWC2013) is coming to Wigan borough and local fans have a unique opportunity to help make it a tournament to remember.
Two part-time volunteer places are up for grabs on the tournament’s Fans Local Advisory Group (FLAG). Each volunteer fan will help deliver what tournament organisers hope to be the best Rugby League World Cup in history.
FLAG volunteers will:
· meet regularly with tournament organisers and other fans;
· gain vital business insight and hands-on experience;
· receive VIP seats to the RLWC2013 final at Old Trafford;
· receive tickets to all the games played at Leigh or Wigan; and
· have an exclusive invite to this year’s Magic Weekend.
Interested fans simply need to answer three questions, each in 150 words or less.
1. Describe the best rugby game you have ever seen.
2. Tell us what the Rugby League World Cup means to you.
3. Explain how you would tell people in Wigan borough about the 2013 tournament.
Application is by email to flag@wigan.gov.uk by Friday 30th March, 12 noon. Applicants should also state name and address, age, club supported and social media profile (if any).
