Leigh Miners entertain Siddal on Saturday in Round 4 of the NCL, Kick off 2-30pm at Twist Lane. After having no game last weekend due to Oulton Raiders involvement in the Challenge Cup the squad have a host of players coming back into contention having missed out on the Ince Rose Bridge game a couple of weeks back due to injuries and work commitments, with large numbers down training there is plenty of competition for places to make the match day 17. Siddal will be travelling to Leigh for the second week running having played Swinton Lions at LSV in the cup last Sunday and with the Halifax outfit also having to play their BARLA National Cup quarter final tie away at Hunslet Old Boys on Saturday the club will have to decide which competition is the higher priority at this early stage of the season.

It’s derby day for both the second team and ladies this weekend when they take on local rivals Leigh East, the first being on Saturday when the seconds make their way over the canal to play in a last 16 War Of The Roses game, Kick off 2-30pm.On Sunday the ladies host East in the league at Twist Lane, Kick off 2pm.

The u18s will be looking for their first victory of the season on Sunday when they travel down the East Lancs to take on Pilkington Recs in Round 4 of the NYL.
