WATH BROW HORNETS (AWAY)
Leigh Miners make the long trip to Cumbria on Saturday when they take on Wath Brow Hornets in Round 11 of the NCL, Kick off 2-30pm at Red Beck Road. After a disappointing performance last weekend at Saddleworth where Miners needed a last minute Scott O’Brien try to rescue a point they know they will have to play much better this week if they are to come home with the two points. Lee Gittins will be missing from the side on Saturday due to being selected to play for Leigh Centurions in the Anglo French Challenge against Avignon, U18s scrum half Josh Ward has also been selected in the Leigh squad. Props Craig Connor and Kevin Howells are also missing this week through injury and holiday but coming back into contention are Dave Rowlands and Jonny Lloyd after missing the last few matches through injury, with Ross Bradley returning after missing the Saddleworth game due to work commitments. Wath Brow are currently eighth in the league and are unbeaten at home so far this season.
The second team, Ladies and u18s all have a free weekend.
